We transitioned to work as independent consultants over 5 years ago. Before that, we worked in and for consulting firms and NGOs for over 30 collective years.
We have a solid track record of finding, developing bids for and winning great pieces of consulting work. We have fun working together on work that we choose to go for. We work with motivated and engaging clients.
We are intentional about finding pieces of work where we believe we can add specific value to the development space.
We want to help other women who want to connect, share and improve how they show up as consultants.

Our mission is simple. We want to see more women in consulting.
We started the Women's Consulting Workshop with one purpose.
To grow the number of women consulting in the international development and social impact space.
We believe this is crucial to the improvement of our sector.
To create this change, we are building a consulting space that listens, engages and contributes.

Q: Will I have 1:1 support with Janet and Helen on this course?
No. The support offered on this course is through teaching. The benefit to everyone being in a group session is more powerful than learning individually. This is one of the very special aspects of this course. You get to learn alongside your peers.
Q. Are the sessions live or recorded?
All sessions are delivered live. The session will be recorded but we do encourage you to come to the live training. We know from experience that those who are able to show up live and take part get results faster. However, we also recognise that life sometimes get in the way, so we commit to you that every live training will be available in your learning area within 24 hours of the live training taking place. We will have other course dates, but they fill up quickly. To make sure you do not miss a date, subscribe to our weekly newsletter, 3 good things. We share upcoming course dates in there.
Q. How long is the course?
This course is 3 hours long with a short break half way through.
Q. What is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course is £279. There are no additional fees or taxes.
Q. I can’t afford this right now
We hear this a lot. And we hear you. This course is an investment for your future consulting career. Another way of thinking about this to look at how many consulting days the programme costs. For an average consultant, this course is half a day's fees. If you are a more junior consultant, this is more like 3/4 day. The value that you get from learning how to Write for Impact will stay with you, and you will continue to use the tools and strategies we teach you throughout your consulting career.
Q. Do I really need to spend money on something like this?
It depends. If you want to focus on your technical consulting work and increasing your client base, rather than spending all your time rewriting reports, you will get huge value from this course.
